The students of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Almaty won the “VEX Robotics Competition-2019” in London.

The students of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Almaty won the “VEX Robotics Competition-2019” in London.


Competitions were held in London on February 9. Totally, 32 teams from UK, Turkey and Kazakhstan participated in this competition. Two teams (students of NISH FM, Almaty) represented Kazakhstan: a boys’ team (Temirov Bakhtiyar, Manabayev Zhanibek) and a girls’ team (Kamalova Dilnaz, Dudchenko Lyubov and Buribayeva Malika).

 

 

 


The team of boys took 2nd place in the pair competitions. In the individual section (Skills challenge), the Kazakhstani boys team took the first place, and the Kazakhstani girls’ team the second place. The judges of the competition also appreciated the design, diligence and solidarity of the girls’ team and presented a special award (Judges Award) for the best design of the robot.

Thus, the teams from Kazakhstan got the first (Skills Challenge and Judges Award) and second places from the capital of Great Britain.
